I avoid the term consume as much as possible, specially when it comes to consuming creations that are worthy, that bring you value. You consume popcorn , you consume Beast Games, but you don’t consume a good book, you read it, you don’t consume a movie, you watch it. It’s different to consume something and to give the proper time to one thing. Consuming means its not giving you that much value, like popcorn. Its there, but it is not the main thing. Its an accessory to another thing.

If you have a good burger, you need to give all your attention to it, meanwhile the fries are consumed,. I think it makes sense, so i try to avoid saying I consume books, games , series. I enjoy them, I give them the space and importance they need. I’m not a sand worm from Dune, i don’t want to consume as much as possible without caring what it enters on my body and mind.

Its the same for the word content, it means it lacks of any kind of relevance, its just there to consume your money or time. A book is not content, is a proper art piece that needs to be enjoyed with time. A YouTube video with a thumbnail that shows a person making weird faces and the mouth full open is probably just irrelevant and a waste of time.

Stop consuming and start enjoying .
